How to Play

Play Karnalita online for free. Karnalita is a 9-stage level escape logic puzzle platformer. Eat all the yellow fruit with your plant, eat purple fruit if your head gets chopped, drink water to grow & make it to the level exits. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the gray and black button on the game loading screen to bring up the game welcome screen.
Press the spacebar on the game welcome screen to start the game.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Move left using the A key or the left arrow key.
  - Move right using the D key or the right arrow key.
  - Jump using the W key or the up arrow key.
  - Drink water using the S key or the down arrow key.
  - Press the R button to restart the current level.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - This game was designed primarily for desktop devices.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The upper left corner of the game shows the current level number.
      - The upper right corner shows how many yellow fruit you have collected from the current level and how many you need to collect to unlock the level goal.
      - The lower left corner has a restart level button.
      - The lower right has a level select button.
      - Game Play
        
        Drinking water
        
        Drink water to grow taller so you can reach the yellow fruits.
        
        When you drink water and the order you grab fruits in matters.
        
        In some cases you need to be short to access certain parts of the level, or you may need to have the head of your plant get cut off by a spinning flower to have it activate an otherwise inaccessible switch.
        
        Jumping platforms
        
        This game only has a single jump feature, however you can get the head of your plant stuck on the edge of a ledge & then jump again from there.
        
        When you need to get your head stuck on a ledge to re-jump again.
        
        If you are jumping back and forth between platforms it can make sense to have a decently long plant.
        
        If you are trying to jump onto the platform your head was on it may make sense to keep your plant height shorter so it is easier to get the base onto that same ledge you reached with the head (on level 8 if you get your plant to full length you will not be able to stand on the ledge you must get your head stuck on).
        
        Vines & switches
        
        You have to hit any red switches to open up pathways blocked by vines.
        
        Switches turn green after they have been activated.
        
        Dying
        
        If you hit spikes or fall off platform you die.
        
        This game offers unlimited continues & starts you at the beginning of the level you died on.
        
        If you close the game or restart your web browser you start back at the first level.
        
        In some cases you can get stuck by going through the level in the wrong order and need to restart the level using the button in the lower left corner of the screen or pressing the R key.
        
        You do not die if your head gets cut off.
        
        You can restore your head by eating a purple fruit.
        
        Provided you already ate all the yellow fruits on the level to unlock the level exit, you can beat levels even if your plant does not have a head at the end of the level.
